The statewide Action Team is a group of advocates which work for enters for independent Living, and are organized by the Statewide Independent Living Council. The SWAT Community Organizer organizes groups around their counties to advocate for systems change.
Advocacy is an important part of everything we do. EVERY form of advocacy is a good form, there is no better form. You as an indivisual need to be involved in ehatever way you feel most comfortabel. You will never be told what to do or how to do it in any of our advocacy groups.

Advocacy Group
The
Housing Advocacy Group is a group designed to fight for accessible housing
for all with the housing authorities and HUD. Right now, people who have
a bad credit history, are homeless in a shelter or have a past criminal
history can't receive housing from the housing authorities. Join
us in our fight for affordable accessible housing!
Warren
Employment Advocacy Team
The
Warren Employment Advocacy Team was started to advocate for people from
Blair Corporation who have been discriminated against be the Blair Corporation.
Mercer County Disabilitites Coalition
Mercer
County Disabilitites Coalition is an advocacy group which started to advocate
and ibtain housing in the Mercer County area for people with disabilties.
The group meets the first thursday of each Month at Mercer County Disabilitites
Coalition, 500 Roemer Ave. Farrell, PA at 11am.

Pride is a group which is currently working on the City of Meadville to
fic their sidewalks and install compliant curb cuts. If you are interested
in forming an advocacy group in this area, please contact the SWAT Community
